Marica Yasin

Marica has over 20 years experience as a chef and baker. Her interest in baking began in childhood with her first Easy Bake Oven; and she soon became a self-taught little baker. From that point forward she was hooked and wanted to become a chef. Marica graduated from the award winning Institute of Culinary Education, NY in 2005 while working full-time in the industry. She has been baking professionally since 2001.
Marica has extensive expertise in pastry production and has worked directly with world renowned Israeli Baker, Uri Scheft at Breads Bakery, a quintessential New York Bakery. Uri fueled her drive for making quality products with quality ingredients. With the know-how and ability to make 1000+ brownies each week, a plethora of creams and fillings for tarts and pastries and a variety of specialty cakes, Marica became a wiz in the commercial kitchen. Her love for the kitchen drives her to do nothing but her best.
After the industry was hit hard in 2020 and with an extremely supportive family, Marica got serious about starting her own business. Baking was always a side hustle; Marica would rent a kitchen and sell her delectable goods to friends, friends of friends, and local cafes, as well as gift her delicious confections to community fundraisers. Cookies are her favorite – they bring joy to her heart and everyone around her. After years of tweaking and perfecting her recipe, it was time to sell some dough to make some “dough” with her new company – This Dough. And she has mastered it, you won’t find a better cookie dough anywhere!
